The applicants/nominees should have one or more of the academic qualifications listed, namely MBBS/ MD/ MS/ DNB/ DM/ MCH, with MBBS being a mandatory degree. PhD holders who do not possess one of the aforementioned degrees are not eligible for the award.

All applicants/nominees should be Indian nationals residing in India. They should have done substantial work in India and contributed significantly to the Indian healthcare system.
Applicants/nominees for the Emerging Young Leader in Medicine Award should be less than or equal to forty-five years of age. The date of birth should be on or after 1st August 1978. However, the other three award categories are open to all age groups.
The award money may be subject to taxes as imposed by the Government of India. Applicants/nominees are requested to check with their tax consultant.

This award money can be used by the doctor for any purpose as per their discretion.

The last date to apply is 20th September 2023.

This award aims at honouring an individual who has made outstanding contributions to medicine and healthcare in India over their lifetime. This award will be by direct nomination of the Sitaram Jaipuria Foundation only.
