The applicants/nominees should have one or more of the academic qualifications listed, namely MBBS/ MD/ MS/ DNB/ DM/ MCH. Applicants/nominees who do not possess one of the aforementioned degrees are not eligible for the award.

The applicants/nominees should be Indian nationals residing in India. They should have done substantial work in India and contributed significantly to the Indian healthcare system.

Applicants/nominees for the Emerging Young Leader in Medicine award should be less than or equal to forty-five years of age as on 1st July 2022. However, the other three award categories are open to all age groups.

The award money may be subject to taxes as imposed by the Government of India. Applicants/nominees are requested to check with their tax consultant.

This award money can be used by the doctor for any purpose as per their discretion.
